Aims and Objectives
Weston Dental Centre is a practice dedicated to the provision of general dentistry for both children and adults.
Children under the age of 18 (19 if in full-time education) are treated free under the NHS, and adults are treated both under the NHS and Privately.
Free NHS dental treatment is provided for adult patients under the strict regulations for exemption as set out by the Government.
The Practice is committed to a quality assurance system to ensure that all the care we provide is of a consistent quality. A system that ensures all effective measures of infection control is used, and all the legal requirements relating to health and safety in the workplace are followed.
Our aim is to provide a prompt, friendly and courteous service by a knowledgeable and highly trained staff, and to deliver the highest quality dental treatment through the use of state-of-the-art equipment, technology and procedures. Our Dentists and staff are committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible care and treatment to you and your family.
All our Dentists, Hygienists and nurses engage in regular personal and professional development, and exceed the General Dental Council’s requirements. Our objective is to keep up-to-date with current thinking on all aspects of Dentistry, especially preventative care which can reduce your need for dental treatment.
All staff members joining the practice are given training in practice-wide procedures, and there is an ongoing programme to review the training needs for everyone in the practice.
In proposing treatment, we will take account of your own wishes, explain all options and where appropriate costs, so that you can make an informed decision about the treatment you receive. We will always explain what we are doing and listen to all of your concerns whilst under our care. We will correspond with all the providers or agents involved in your treatment, and make sure we track your treatment and keep you informed.
We respect your right to confidentiality and will ensure that any details we provide are relevant and pertinent to your case. We regularly ask patients for their views on our service to enable us to continually improve our service. We have systems in place for dealing promptly with patient complaints and for ensuring that lessons are learnt from any mistakes we make. All our staff will have an open and honest approach to all of our patients in all areas.
